About

Welcome to Jo, My Gosh! I'm Jo, and I'm so glad that you're here!

I began this blog when my husband (but then-fiance), John, deployed to Afghanistan for year. Primarily, I wanted to share the care packages I was creating and sending to him. I wanted to give a voice to the feelings and experiences I was having as someone who had never experienced the deployment of a loved one before.

The blog's focus expanded quickly from just care packages to DIYs, recipes, and the advice I wish someone had given me about being a military significant other.  I invite you to grab a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy yourself as you peruse Jo, My Gosh! Sit down and stay awhile!

If you're inspired by my blog, let me know at jomygosh [at] gmail [dot] com! I'd love to see what you're doing!

  1. My husband is from PA as well! He played football and was in the band, clarinet, in high school. Then he joined the AF and met me when we were both serving the USAF in England. Never know where you are going to meet your beloved! I enjoy reading your ideas. Love the mustache ornament, so maybe I'll make one for my husband for his birthday that's a week before Christmas. Take care~and God bless!
